Good afternoon Families

Welcome to Week 3 of Term 2, we have launched our new public Facebook page with followers increasing daily. Each day I find something to celebrate, admire or enjoy at Nightcliff Primary School. Students playing on the oval building nests and forts out of natural materials, laughing out loud when reading ‘Bad Guy’s with a student, receiving positive community feedback on our administrative staff, to our assistant principal thanking all the educators who supported the swimming program with a morning coffee.

Let’s celebrate all the forms of motherhood this Mother’s Day- from birth mothers to adoptive mums, stepmothers, grandmothers, and all the women who nurture and care for others. We invite all families to walk their mum to school on Friday the 10^th of May to attend our Mother’s Day Breakfast. The School Council will host, providing bacon and egg sandwiches, pancakes, drinks, and a local coffee van. Welcoming and greeting our walking families will be Hector Road Safety Cat.

Thank you to all the local businesses who have supported this community event, including donations for the breakfast and the Mother’s Day raffle. Families will have received an envelope of Mother’s Day raffle tickets with every eldest child in the school. The Student Representative Council (SRC) held a working bee to collate all the tickets and glue the information sheet for over 400 families! This sealed envelope can be returned to the front office with the prize winners drawn next week.

Make the most of the long weekend. Whether you’re exploring new destinations or indulging in local attractions I hope the extra time is used to recharge and create memories with family and friends.

Mother's Day Breakfast

Our school is in need of donations for our upcoming Mother's Day Breakfast. We are specifically in need of pancake mix to make our event a success. You can drop off your donations at the school office during regular business hours. Thank you for your support

Cracka Cup

Some of the Year 3's headed down to the TIO Stadium and played in the Cracka Cup round robin. They had a great day learning and developing their skills in AFL and enjoyed the water slide at the end to cool off.
