The leadership opportunities at Nightcliff Primary School are diverse, allowing for all students to find their passion and lead. Thank you to our special guests the Honourable Natasha Fyles, MLA for Nightcliff, School Council Chair, Allen Fanning and our teachers who help facilitate leadership programs in the school. We thank Mr Greg Hauser for his commitment to Eco Warriors, Ms Wendy Fanning for NTLC, and Ms Emily Field for Sport.

Gala Days - Soccer & Cricket
Soccer Gala Day,
On Wednesday this week, Year 5 and 6 students travelled to Marrara and played in numerous soccer games against several different schools from around Darwin. We had two boy’s teams and one girls team who played amazingly in the scorching hot wet season weather! Everyone tried their hardest and showed fantastic positive teamwork and sportsmanship, which was great to see.
All the teams played well, with our division one boys team coming first in their division, the girls coming in second and our division two boys coming in third.
It was a fantastic day out!
Cricket Gala Day,
On Thursday, Year 4, 5 and 6 students travelled to Marrara cricket ground and played in a cricket round robin competition against Essington primary school. We had three mixed teams who played very well, coming in second overall. The students had a great day and were happy to have to opportunity to be a part of a Cricket NT workshop throughout the day as well as playing their games!
Well done to everyone who has participated in gala days this term!
