Week 9 Term 4
Nightcliff Primary School
Hi everyone,
We had a great presentation awards ceremony today. Thank you to all the families who attended to congratulate the Chief Minister’s Literacy Awards, Class awards for Personal Best, Citizenship and Academic excellence. We also congratulated our student leadership groups; School captains, Student Citizen, Student Representative Council (SRC), NT Learning Commissioners, Sport House Captains and Eco-warriors. A special mention to our Year 6 senior students who were congratulated on their graduation from Primary School today.
Many thanks must go to our amazing administration staff and leadership team for their preparation and organisation of certificates, notifications to families and for the beautiful set-up of the assembly area for this prestigious event. It was fantastic to have Ms Natasha Fyles MLA and Chief Minister of the NT and Mr Allen Fanning School Council Chairperson attend to present special awards. We acknowledge the work of teachers and parents and carers as partners in education for their support of the school’s teaching and learning programs, excursions and social events, which make school engaging, fun and memorable for our students.
Next week is our final week of school! Student reports will come home on Wednesday with a letter advising the classroom teacher for 2024 for your child. An invitation to for parents and carers to become a parent and carer class representative for 2024 to assist families to connect with other families in your child’s new class for events, support and social get togethers.
This year has been quite a busy year post Covid in 2022 and we appreciate all family’s efforts to encourage students to attend and get on track with their learning. We look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday 30th January 2024.
