Elevating School Improvement
Staff, students (NT Learning Commissioners) and the School Council regularly review and analyse our achievement data stored on Gradexpert and EDash. We will be including this data on our school website to share our success with the community. Although three way conversations have occurred you are welcome to discuss your child's progress at any time by making an appointment to see the teacher (staff list on website). Students should also be able to tell you their personal learning goals for Reading, Mathematics and Wellbeing.
NT Learning Commissioners update
This week the learning commissioners are meeting with Manunda Tce Primary School and Casuarina Street Primary School from Katherine, to review their data and stories of success. Our NTLC have been busy working this year on Reading (Tree), Mathematics (Times-table tournament) and Wellbeing (Pivot survey design to survey students on 9 questions regarding safety at school).

School Council News
10/08/2023
Newsletter article regarding safe boundaries proposal.
NPS School Council held a General Meeting on Tuesday 2nd August and discussed feedback regarding the proposal from the Safe Boundaries Working Group to install a 1500mm high fence to replace the current perimeter fence between the preschool and the staff carpark and undertake complementary landscaping. This proposal was communicated to the School Community and neighbouring residents on 22 May 2023 and has been available on the NPS website.
We thank those that provided feedback. All correspondence was responded to by the Principal. At the meeting, the Principal updated Council on absconding and trespassing, which continue to pose a significant risk for staff and students.
After reviewing feedback and considering this continued risk, NPS School Council passed a motion to proceed with the proposal recommended by the NPS School Council Safe Boundaries Working Group. NPS will keep you updated on progress through regular school communications.
