Week 10 Term 2
Nightcliff Primary School Newsletter
It’s Dinidjanggama (Heavy dew time) Season for Gulumoerrgin (Larrakia) country. Heavy dew dampens the grass in the morning. Agile Wallabies (Macropus agilis) are the Top End’s most common kangaroo. They feed in large groups on green pick in areas burnt by fire. Antilopine Wallaroos (Macropus antilopinus) live in small groups in grassy woodlands.
Hi everyone,
As the great weather continues students and staff are looking forward to a well deserved break. We have several events happening to be mindful of as this term finishes and the new term starts:
Pupil Free Day Monday 17th July 2023
Parent teacher three way conversations Tuesday 25th July-Community BBQ in central playground.
School council meeting 1st August @ 5pm-6:30pm.
Changes to play and duty areas Term 3
Due to less staffing available for duty cover at recess and lunch going forward, we have restructured the play areas children can play in. We also have a new playground construction coming in the holidays and possibly under construction into early next term. We will keep students and families up to date with these changes.
Early arrivals to school and supervision
Please note that teachers are not on duty until 15 minutes before school starts (7:55am) and after school finishes (2:45pm). For your child's safety outside of these times please do not drop them off at school early, as there is no supervision or assistance if accidents occur.
Front Office hours
The front office now opens and receives calls from 7:45am closing at 3pm.
Please note the front office will be closed during the school Holidays.
