The Year 3 and 4 students at Nightcliff Primary School have been working during Art classes to produce sustainably created artwork. These lanterns are made from discarded tissue paper from local shoe shops that was heading to landfill. Students from 3 Costelloe, 3 Chan, 3 Pengilly, 4 Fladrich & 4 Hauser worked with their Art teacher, Mrs Wendy Fanning, using a papier mâché technique. Further decorations were individually inspired using natural objects from around the school community garden (incorporated into the papier mâché), water colour paints or other forms of painting.
