Dear Parents/Carers
We are quickly making our way through Term Two and the weather has almost turned.
Today our preschoolers had their Sports Day completing running races and tabloid (egg and spoon, sack race, bean bag race) events. All children had a lovely time and enthusiastic parents were around to participate in the PiggyBack Race.
Tomorrow students aged 10, 11, 12 & 13 (mostly Grades 5 & 6) will complete their 800m final and tabloid (discus, shot put, high jump) events. On Friday, students aged 5 – 13 years (T – 6 students) will complete their running races after the opening ceremony, followed by tabloid events for students. We finish on Friday afternoon the week's points will be tallied and the winning team will be presented the Sports Day Shield.
We welcome all parents along over the next couple of days to support your child and their team. We will have shade out on the oval to make it a bit more comfortable for everyone. Please remember to bring you hats and a water bottle. Hope to see you there.
Next Tuesday we will celebrate Reconciliation Day here at Nightcliff Primary. Students will be involved in activities across the day, and we will have a performance by Ryka Ali which will celebrate and share the richness of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Canteen News
Unfortunately, our canteen contractor has had to close on-site operations from Friday 27th May. They will be operating an online lunch order delivery service ONLY from Monday 30th May until another contractor is secured.
Please ensure you place your order before the 9:00 am cutoff time if ordering online.
