Week 9 Term 4
Nightcliff Primary School
Dear Carers, Students, and Staff,
As we approach the close of the school year, I am filled with immense pride and joy as I reflect on the hard work, dedication, and success that has defined Nightcliff Primary School in 2025. This time of year, is always special, as we come together to celebrate the many achievements of our students, staff, and community.
Celebrating Our Students
The end of the year is an opportunity to recognise the exceptional efforts of our students. Our annual End of Year Awards Assembly honoured the students who have excelled academically, demonstrated leadership, shown the school values, and contributed positively to our school community. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or through acts of kindness, these students have gone above and beyond to make this school year memorable.
Our students have worked tirelessly to achieve academic success, earning recognition for their outstanding achievements in their learning. The Year Six students were celebrated for their exemplary knowledge in subjects ranging from mathematics and science to history and the arts. It is with great pride that we celebrated their hard work and commitment to learning.
The School Values, Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Inclusion and Caring were celebrated. Our citizenship awards recognised students who exemplify the core values we strive to uphold as a school community.
Our athletes, musicians, and extracurricular activities have highlighted and celebrated varied student success, from representing AFL at a national level to music performances. Nightcliff Primary students have shown dedication and teamwork in every endeavor.
Thank You to Our Teachers and Staff
None of these achievements would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible teachers and staff. They have worked tirelessly to provide our students with a nurturing, challenging, and supportive environment, and we are so grateful for their unwavering commitment. Thank you for everything you do to inspire and guide our students.
A Special Thank You to Our Parents and Families
I also want to express my deep gratitude to our parents and families. Your ongoing support, encouragement, and partnership play a pivotal role in the success of our students. Thank you for being a vital part of our school community.
Next week is the final week of the school year. We will farewell students and staff and I look forward to sharing the final newsletter and reflections of 2025.
Kind Regards

School Council News
We are looking for volunteers to join our Community Engagement Committee to assist with organising our School Community events held throughout the school year (such as our Welcome Morning Tea, Mother's Day Breakfast, Movie Night, BBQ's and in 2025, Harmony Day). Without volunteers these events cannot run! Volunteering is a great way to get to know other families and be involved in the school community!
We are always after new ideas as to how we can bring the school community together and celebrate the wonderful community we have - we would love to hear from you if you have any suggestions.
