Week 4 Term 2
Nightcliff Primary School
Dear Parents/Carers
Our canteen contractor has had to close on site operations from 27th May. They will be operating an online lunch order delivery service from Monday 30th May until another contractor is secured.
The NT Learning Commissioners have been working hard to source ongoing student voice, alongside our Student Representative Council (SRC) and Peer Mediators. We are seeing more students utilise the peer mediators to assist them to solve problems in the playground which is well received by leadership team, teachers and front office staff as they take on this responsible role.
Our Chief Executive Ms Karen Weston and Deputy Chief Executive, Regional Services, Mr Saeed Amin visited our school last week alongside Ms Natasha Fyles MLA. Our NT Learning Commissioners School Captains and Student Citizen were presented with a book called An Amazing Australian Road Trip by Jackie Hosking and Lesley Vamos for our library. The student leadership group were able to discuss the engaging programs we have at Nightcliff Primary School including sports, music, languages, arts, science and partnerships with Nightcliff Middle School enrichment and transitioning programs, Nightcliff Pool, RLSSA, Tennis Australia, Life Education, NT Music School and Child Australia. They discussed their group’s plans for supporting the ASIP Goals of Reading, Mathematics and Wellbeing this year and the data and planned activities to engage students in these areas.
